Responsibilities: The ambulatory nurse supervisor provides leadership based on the vision, mission, philosophy, and core values of the Mayo Clinic. The ambulatory nurse supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the operational and personnel activities to ensure the provision of high quality care in ambulatory and/or hospital based procedure settings, and is also accountable for direct patient care. The role includes ongoing collaboration and communication utilizing participative decision making when appropriate. The ambulatory nurse supervisor is responsible for promoting ongoing development of all staff and for maintaining a professional environment in which all staff can grow and develop. The ambulatory nurse supervisor may be accountable for direct patient care. The ambulatory nurse supervisor applies current nursing and management theories to coordinate outpatient nursing services.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program. (revised 2009) Within the past five years, two or more years of recent experience as a registered nurse. Maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) competency. Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.
Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership ability. Experience working in the community practice preferred, particularly with populations of adults and older adults. Nursing management experience preferred.
Internal applicants must attach 3 most recent performance appraisals.
License or Certification: Current Minnesota RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
Midwest: Basic Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers: BCLS : certificate of course completion required and must not expire within 3 months after start date. A scanned copy of the certificate of completion or transcripts, including your full name, must be attached to your profile to be considered.

:Red Cross (Title: CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers or BLS for Healthcare Providers)

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx 2,931.20, based on a full:time position.
